Chicken Piccata

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿฝ
It’s Chicken Piccata! A dish that looks and tastes fancy, but very easy to make, and it makes for a great refreshing and comforting week-night dinner.

To make this delicious dish, youโ€™ll need the following ingredients:

๐Ÿ— 6 Thin Chicken Breast Slices
๐Ÿงˆ 4 Tablespoons Butter 
๐Ÿพ 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
๐Ÿง… 1 Finely Chopped Shallot
๐Ÿง„ 5 Minced Garlic Cloves
๐Ÿฅƒ 2 Cups Chicken Broth
๐Ÿ‹ 1 Lemon Juice
๐Ÿซ’ 1/2 Cup Capers
๐ŸŒฟ 1/4 Cup Chopped Parsley 

๐Ÿฝ For Coating:
Flour, Salt, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Paprika


Letโ€™s make Chicken Piccata! ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿณ

๐Ÿ— In a deep dish, mix the flour with all the seasonings.
๐Ÿ— Coat the chicken pieces evenly on both sides with the seasoned flour.
๐Ÿ— in a large skillet heat oil with half of the butter and cook chicken pieces for 3 minutes on each side, or until golden in color. Take chicken out of the skillet and set aside.
๐Ÿ— In the same skillet, add the remaining butter, chopped shallots, and cook until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. 
๐Ÿ— Deglaze skillet with chicken broth and lemon juice, making sure to scrap all the flavor goodness on bottom and sides of the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, cover and simmer sauce on medium heat until it thickens and reduces in half.
๐Ÿ— Add chicken back in, add capers, cover and cook for 6 more minutes, making sure you flip the chicken halfway through so that it evenly cooks on both sides.
๐Ÿ— Top with chopped fresh parsley, serve, and enjoy!
