Tagliatelle Bolognese

Ingredients:

Olive Oil, Tomato Paste, Basil, Milk, Pasta, Celery, Garlic, Onion, Carrots, Celery, Chopped Meat, Beef Stock, Parmesan Cheese, Pasta (Spaghetti)

  • Heat the olive oil
  • Add 1 medium chopped onion
  • Sauté until fragrant, this takes about two minutes
  • Add 1/2 cup diced celery to the mix
  • Add 1/2 cup diced carrot to the mix
  • Sauté for another 2 minutes
  • Add chopped meat and break it up with a wooden spoon
  • Mix the meat with the veggies
  • Add 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • Add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • Mix all together
  • Add 1 1/2 cups of crushed tomato
  • Add salt and pepper to taste
  • Add 1 cup of beef stock
  • Add fresh chopped basil and mix it in
  • Cover the pot and simmer sauce on low heat for half an hour, and stir every 10 minutes
  • Add 1 cup of milk or cream
  • Add 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Mix all together and let the sauce simmer on low heat for another 1/2 an hour
  • Boil salted water, and cook your pasta following its packaged directions
