Chocolate Konafa Nests

Happy Easter to all my friends who celebrate! 🐣💐💖
When Easter falls in Ramadan, then Chocolate Konafa Nests are in order!

Konafa Nests 🐣🥮🌷

Ingredients:
💐 1/2 lb Konafa (aka Kataifi)
💐 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
💐 4 tablespoons butter or ghee
💐 Simple Syrup or Honey
💐 Chocolate Spread for Filling
💐 Chocolate Eggs or Nuts for Topping 


Make Konafa (Kataifi) Nests with me!

Tear the Konafa Pastry by hand into medium size pieces. Place it in a large mixing bowl, add the powdered sugar, and pour melted butter over it. Using your hands massage the sugar and melted butter into the Konafa, until it’s evenly coated.

Fill each muffin tin hole with the prepared Konafa . Press it down and slightly outwards towards the sides firmly with the bottom of a cup. 

Bake for 30 minutes, or until the Konafa is golden in color. Remove from the oven and pour a tablespoon of syrup over each tart base. Allow to cool, then fill with chocolate spread and add your favorite toppings.
