🧀 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
🧀 1 minced Garlic Clove
🧀 3/4 Cup crumbled Blue Cheese
🧀 2 tablespoons chopped fresh Chives
🧀 1 tablespoon fresh Parsley
🧀 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
🧀 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
Let me show you how I made this delicious Wedge Salad with homemade Blue Cheese dressing 🥗🧀😍
🥓 First, I cooked the bacon. The easiest and least messy way to crisp the bacon is to arrange it in one layer on a parchment paper lined tray and bake it in a preheated 400F oven, until cooked through and crispy. Cooking time will carry according to the size and thickness of of the bacon slices. Mine took about 25 minutes to crisp.
Transfer bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to get rid of the excess grease and once it’s cool enough to handle, break it into small pieces.
🧀 The Blue Cheese Dressing can be made a couple of hours in advance to allow all the flavor to marry.
Simply combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, crumbled blue cheese, seasonings, chives, parsley, vinegar, in a medium bowl and stir to combine.
If you like your dressing to be smooth rather than chunky, then blend all the ingredients except the fresh herbs in the food processor, then stir in the chopped chives and parsley.
🥗 To assemble the salad, cut the head of lettuce into 4 or 8 wedges, top with a few spoons of blue cheese dressing, then add all your favorite toppings. I added cherry tomato halves, sliced red onion, chives, crumbled blue cheese, and bacon bites.
