Let’s get the PF Chang’s Copycat Chicken Lettuce Wraps ingredients ready: 👩🏻🍳👌🏻
🥬 1 pound ground chicken
🥬 1 tablespoon olive oil
🥬 1 tablespoon sesame oil
🥬 1 small onion, diced
🥬 8 Oz can water chestnuts, diced
🥬 3-4 sliced scallions
🥬 lettuce for serving – I used butter lettuce
For the Sauce:
🍱 1.5 teaspoon crushed garlic
🍱 1.5 teaspoon ginger paste
🍱 1 teaspoon onion powder
🍱 1/4 cup Hoisin Sauce
🍱 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
🍱 1/8 cup Oyster Sauce
🍱 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
🍱 1 tablespoon Sriracha Sauce (or more)
Here’s how I made the Chicken Lettuce Wraps:
🥬 First prepare the sauce by combining the Hoisin, Oyster, Soy, and Sriracha sauces, with the rice vinegar, crushed garlic and ginger, and onion powder. Whisk together and set aside. The exact measurements are listed in the previous post.
🥬 In a large skillet heat olive and sesame oils and cook chicken until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
🥬 Add onion and cook until translucent, about 4-5 minutes. Stir in the sauce and cook for 3 more minutes, giving all the flavors a chance to blend.
🥬 Mix in diced water chestnuts and scallions, then taste and adjust seasoning, if necessary.
🥬 Serve with butter lettuce, scooping chicken mixture into lettuce leaf “bowls.” Sprinkle some sesame seeds, chopped chives, and scallions on top.
