Fried Calamari is one of my family’s must-order appetizers at any Italian restaurant we eat at, and always a big hit when I make it at home.
These babies are crispy crunchy outside, yet very tender inside. My recipe is simple, easy to follow, and DELICIOUS 🤩🤩🤩

🦑 First things first; the list of ingredients is written in the previous post, so check it out and click on save if you’re going to give my recipe a try.
🦑 Cover the cleaned and sliced calamari with buttermilk and add all your favorite seasonings to it. Mix well, cover with plastic and refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight if you have time.
🦑 In a large bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, and all the seasonings used in the brine. Feel free to adjust all the seasoning quantities to your taste.
🦑 Take the calamari out of the buttermilk brine and coat it evenly with the seasoned flour.
🦑 Deep fry it until golden the transfer it onto a rack to drain all the excess oil.
🦑 Serve it with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy! We like ours with Marinara Sauce 🤩👌🏻
