Thanksgiving Stuffing 

What’s Thanksgiving Dinner without the perfect stuffing? My foolproof recipe makes for a delicious accompaniment to your homemade brine turkey. But don’t just save it for the holidays, its a heartwarming treat on the snowiest days! 

To make the stuffing you’ll need:

🍞 2 sticks (1 cup) butter
🍞 1 bag (7 cups) seasoned croutons
🍞 1 large chopped onion
🍞 1 cup chopped celery
🍞 1 cup chopped mushrooms
🍞 3/4 cup sliced leek
🍞 1/2 cup chopped chestnuts
🍞 2/3 cup parsley
🍞 1/4 cup chives
🍞 1/4 cup rosemary
🍞 1/4 cup sage
🍞 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
🍞 2 eggs
🍞 Salt & Pepper

🦃 In a wide skillet, heat butter and sauté onion until fragrant.
🦃 Add celery and cook it with the onion for 2 minutes.
🦃 Add sliced leek and cook for another 2 minutes.
🦃 Add mushrooms, toss everything together and cook until mushroom starts to soften.
🦃 Add chestnuts and mix them in.
🦃 Add seasoned croutons and chopped herbs and give everything a good mix.
🦃 Add 1.5 cups chicken broth and cook for 3 minutes.
🦃 lastly, beat 2 eggs with salt and pepper to taste and 1 cup of chicken broth. Add this mix to the stuffing, give it a mix and transfer it to a baking pan.
🦃 Cover and bake on 350F for 45 minutes, then remove cover, add a few cubes of butter on top, and bake for another half an hour, or until the top is golden brown.
