  • arrange pitted cherries on the bottom of the pan and set aside until you prepare the batter
  • now let’s make the batter
  • to the mixers bowl add 3 eggs
  • add 1/2 cup of sugar
  • add 2 tablespoons of vanilla
  • add a dash of salt
  • add melted butter 2 tablespoons
  • add 1/2 cup of flour
  • add the flour to the wet mix
  • mix the flour in until well blended and lump free
  • add 1 cup of milk and mix until well combined
  • when the batter is ready, slowly pour batter over the cherries
  • Bake in a 350°F preheated oven until set from sides, fluffed and golden in color. This could take up to 45 minutes, depending on your oven. Mine was ready in 35 minutes.
  • once fluffed and golden in color, take it out of the oven and place it on a cooling rack for 15 minutes
  • once lukewarm, dust with powdered sugar and you can also add some toasted almond slices on top if available
  • Enjoy!
