Cheeseburgers

You will need: ground beef, onion, black pepper, garlic, salt, Goya Sazón, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, sweet relish, French dressing or Thousand Island dressing, tomatoes, hamburger buns, cheese, lettuce, mustard

Instructions:

  • I used 4lbs of 80% lean ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons of dried or fresh minced onion
  • 3 teaspoons of salt
  • 3 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoons of Goya Sazón spice mix (or any other Mexican spices you like)
  • 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • Mix spices with meat until well combined (try not to over mix)
  • Divide the seasoned meat into equal portions and shape them into your desired burger size
  • I used a burger press but you can do it by hand
  • Arrange the burgers on parchment paper lined tray, cover and put in the freezer for an hour
  • Now let’s make the sauce:
  • Add 1/2 cup of mayonnaise (regular or light)
  • 4 tablespoon sweet relish
  • 2 tablespoons Thousand Island or French dressing
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion, fresh or dry
  • 1/2 tablespoons of mustard (I use Dill Pickle Mustard but regular will work too)
  • Mix and add 1 1/2 tablespoons of vinegar until all the ingredients are well combined
  • Cover sauce with plastic and refrigerate until ready to use
  • Transfer burgers to preheated grill and cook until desired doneness
  • Flip them only once and do not press down on them, this will keep them juicy and tender
  • Time to assemble the burger:
  • First add some sauce to the bun
  • Then the lettuce, cheeseburgers, and then add tomato slices, and more sauce
  • Enjoy!

Sizzling burgers on the grill is a sound many of us will hear this weekend!♨️ A family favorite, great flavor, simple ingredients, easy to prepare! What’s not to love here?😍🥰😘 What makes a burger great, in my opinion, is the sum of all its parts; starting by choosing the right meat (80% lean beef), adding the right seasonings, preparing a well balanced flavorful sauce to go with it and lastly the fresh toppings. All should complement one another, in between the equally important fresh bun 🍔🥬🍔🍅🍔🧀 🍔🍟🍔 I like my burger cooked medium-well with extra sharp Cheddar cheese and my boys like theirs cooked medium with yellow American cheese. How do you like your Burger and what are your favorite toppings? Do you cook it in a skillet or on the grill? The credit for this delicious homemade burgers recipe goes to my sister-in-law; she’s the family burger expert! She released her secret recipe to me and graciously agreed that I publicly share it here on my Blog for all of my Instagram family to enjoy.
