You will need: ground beef, onion, black pepper, garlic, salt, Goya Sazón, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, sweet relish, French dressing or Thousand Island dressing, tomatoes, hamburger buns, cheese, lettuce, mustard
Instructions:
- I used 4lbs of 80% lean ground beef
- 3 tablespoons of dried or fresh minced onion
- 3 teaspoons of salt
- 3 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 tablespoons of Goya Sazón spice mix (or any other Mexican spices you like)
- 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
- Mix spices with meat until well combined (try not to over mix)
- Divide the seasoned meat into equal portions and shape them into your desired burger size
- I used a burger press but you can do it by hand
- Arrange the burgers on parchment paper lined tray, cover and put in the freezer for an hour
- Now let’s make the sauce:
- Add 1/2 cup of mayonnaise (regular or light)
- 4 tablespoon sweet relish
- 2 tablespoons Thousand Island or French dressing
- 1 tablespoon minced onion, fresh or dry
- 1/2 tablespoons of mustard (I use Dill Pickle Mustard but regular will work too)
- Mix and add 1 1/2 tablespoons of vinegar until all the ingredients are well combined
- Cover sauce with plastic and refrigerate until ready to use
- Transfer burgers to preheated grill and cook until desired doneness
- Flip them only once and do not press down on them, this will keep them juicy and tender
- Time to assemble the burger:
- First add some sauce to the bun
- Then the lettuce, cheeseburgers, and then add tomato slices, and more sauce
- Enjoy!
