Steak with Creamy Mushroom Sauce

You will need: Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, Montreal steak seasoning, Ribeye steak, baby Bella mushrooms, cream, 1 shallot, black pepper, goat cheese (you can use blue cheese or Gorgonzola cheese instead), 1 stick of butter,

Instructions:

  • Drizzle about 1/2 a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce on each steak
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of Montreal steak seasoning on each of the steaks
  • Drizzle some olive oil on top
  • Rub the steak to make sure that it is evenly coated with the seasoning, then flip it to the other side, season it the same way you just did.
  • Preheat your grill for 15 minutes
  • Grill the steak to how you would like it done, (I like mine medium well, that’s about 7-8 minutes on each side)
  • To make the sauce:
  • Melt 1/2 stick of butter about 1/4 cup
  • Finely chop a small shallot
  • Add chopped shallot to melted butter
  • Sauté until fragrant about 2 minutes
  • Add the sided mushrooms, I used about 1/2 a pound of baby Bella mushrooms
  • Cook the mushrooms for three minutes and then add 1 cup of cream
  • Add black pepper to taste
  • Add 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • Add 1/2 cup of crumbled goat cheese (You can use blue cheese or Gorgonzola cheese instead)
  • Stir and cook for just a minute or two until the cheese has melted
  • Take off the heat and spoon on top of the steak or serve it on the side
  • Enjoy!
