What you will need:
3 roasted red bell peppers, 3 garlic cloves, 1 small onion, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, 3/4 cup olive oil, 1 tsp red pepper paste (optional), 1 1/2 tbsp pomegranate molasses, 1 cup toasted walnut, a food processor
- In the bowl of the food processor, pulse walnuts
- Cut the three roasted peppers and add them to the walnuts
- Add sliced garlic
- Add chopped onion
- (Optional) Add 1 tsp red pepper paste
- Add bread crumbs
- Add seasonings: 1 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp cumin, a dash of cayenne pepper
- Add 1/2 cup olive oil, turn the food processor on and halfway through the mixing process, stop the processor scrape the sides to make sure everything gets well blended, add remains 1/2 cup of olive oil.
- After it is well blended transfer the Muhammara to a plate
- Drizzle olive oil on top
- Garnish with walnuts, pomegranate seeds & fresh parsley leaves
