Pistachio ice cream

You will need: One pack of powdered whipping mix, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, pistachios for garnishing, 1 cup of pistachio butter, 1.5 cups of cold whipping cream, green food coloring


  • For best results, put the mixers bowl in the freezer for an hour before you start the whipping cream. After an hour take it out and pour the cold cream in it
  • Add one packet of powder whipping mix. I usually use dream whip
  • Start mixing on medium speed
  • When the whipping mix as well combined with the cream increase to high speed
  • With the cream until hard peaks form. This step takes about five minutes
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
  • Add 1/2 can of condensed milk
  • The can is 14 ounces you will need 7 ounces for this recipe
  • Add 1 cup of pistachio butter to the mixers bowl.
  • Add three drops of green food coloring (optional) and mix
  • Just mix until everything is well combined do not over mix
  • Pour the batter into the freezer dish
  • Garnish the top with pistachios
  • Cover with two layers of plastic wrap the first layer must be touching the surface of the ice cream, to prevent ice crystals from forming on the surface
  • Lastly, cover with a layer of aluminum foil
  • Enjoy!
