When Italy meets Mexico, this Tex-Mex Carne Asada Pizza happens! A fun and delicious twist to Taco night ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฝ
I had a gourmet stuffed crust frozen pizza on hand and I leveled it up with some sizzling hot, right off the grill flank steak, a big dollop of my homemade guacamole, and freshly made Pico de Gallo. Sooo Sooo delicious! ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ณ๐๐ป
Carne Asada and Guacamole recipes (and make sure you save room for dessert ๐)
INGREDIENTS:
๐ฅฉ 2 lbs Flank, Hanger, or Skirt Steak
๐ฅฉ 2 scalions
๐ฅฉ 2 Limes
๐ฅฉ 2 Jalapeรฑo Peppers
๐ฅฉ Juice of 1 Orange
๐ฅฉ 7 Garlic Cloves
๐ฅฉ 1/2 a bunch of Cilantro
Seasonings:
Adjust amounts to your taste.
๐ง Salt & Pepper to taste
๐ง 2 tablespoons Onion Powder
๐ง 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
๐ง 1 teaspoon Lime Pepper
๐ง 1 teaspoon orange pepper
๐ง 1.5 teaspoon All Purpose Seasoning
๐ง 1.5 teaspoon Adobo Seasoning
๐ง 1.5 teaspoon Chili Powder
๐ง 1.5 teaspoon Cumin
๐ง 1 teaspoon liquid Maggi Seasoning
๐ง 1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
๐ง 1/3 Cup Soy Sauce
๐ง 1 Cup Water

๐ฅฉ Prepare the meat marinade by combining all the seasonings with minced garlic, scallions and jalapeรฑo peppers sliced lengthwise, cut-up lime and orange, chopped cilantro, juice of a lime and an orange, Worcestershire sauce, liquid Maggi seasoning, and just enough water to cover the steak; regular tap water or seltzer will work. Let the meat soak in this flavorful mixture overnight.
๐ฅฉ Take meat out of the marinade and pat both sides dry. Grill it to your desired doneness, cover with foil, and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before slicing it. You can enjoy it on a salad, as taco, or as a pizza topping. It was MARVELOUS!!๐คฉ๐๐ป
